Suggestions?

Do we pick from existing models or classic WWII designs I love that are practical and simple like others?

When I get home from work (working a double tonight) I will post a picture of my version of that one. I don't think you were around when I made it.

The new Kabar Ek is an unholy ugly sumbitch. Your Wall Ek is perfect replica with better steel and workmanship than the originals. Wait until you see the one John made! Yummy!!

Around here Oct. means hunting season, any chance of a pouch/knife kit with a JK handled firesteel? Maybe even go so far as to offer a kit that included a firesteel, compass, and whistle. I think it's one Hell of a bargain at the normal price:thumbup:

No way to offer those at a special price. I pay my brother $25 for the pouch, after material and time on the little knife I make $12 in profit. Those were a fun idea, but there won't be any more of them.

I'm leaning towards it, and the mini version. One thing to remember is I don't offer orange anymore, I'm allergic to G10..

Woah. That thing looks scary!
Not trying to be rude, but I would never buy a stabbing/fighting knife with no hand guard.
Ive never personally had an accident, but ive seen some gruesome pictures of fingers sliced to the bone.

My final vote is for the Bluegill. Id like that one done in Osage Orange.

Photos I've found of this knife, it's always referred to as the Potawatomi Slim Necker....is this correct John?

And this is the Mini Potawatomi?

Correct on both counts. jds1 designed the Potawatomi Slim Necker, I did the Mini.

I made it as a tribute to the old Ek fighting knives, and because people thought it would be a good idea. The funny thing is once I made it, I could not sell it, finally raffled it off.

Guess I'm lucky things worked out the way they did and I have one.

I've been wondering can you work with orange micarta? I know G10 and micarta are different but the same.

I have never come across orange micarta, but I work with micarta all the time, no problems.

I have found a couple online that specifically list it as paper or cotton micarta. Granted the colors aren't as eye popping bright as G-10 but I prefer micarta any day.
