I picked up a Case Mini-Copperlock in CV at the hardware store here about a month ago. Nice little lockblade, under 3" blade and it came razor sharp with no burr. That's the first Case I've bought new in twenty years that didn't have a huge burr on the edge.
I also picked up a Queen Whittler in D2 on the exchange here, all the blades are under 3". It makes a nice EDC knife.
I could make more suggestions, but it would help if I had some idea what you want it for, as intended use usually dictates what I select for myself.
I just want it for edc. It would probably see slight abuse, I work in tool & die and would use it at work. I don't care if its lock or slipjoint. I would prefer only 1 maybe 2 blades at the most.
For a two blade, I like the trapper pattern. I'm not really sure why, since I really don't care that much for the long spey blade, but it does give me more edge to dull between sharpenings. The Case mini-trapper in CV would fit the bill nicely.
I would second the Case mini-trapper. Mine is Tru Sharp, with no complaints, so one in CV should only be better. Easy to carry, but has plenty of edge for the majority of uses.
