Suit Pants / Folders / EDC / please help!

The Buck Mayo TNT is a great choice at a thin 2.7 oz. If you wanted to go even lighter The Buck/Mayo Waimea is only 1.8 oz.

CRKT Eros or Eros 2. The Eros is a full size 3" blade and the titanium framelock is 3d milled to save weight. It is a super thin slicer, and only weighs 1.4 ounces. Designed by Ken Onion, and this has much better quality than any other CRKT I have handled. Perfect fit and finish, blade was razor sharp out the box. That and I find the 3d design of the handles to look wonderful.

The IKBS system makes this knife incredibly smooth and fast deploying. It deploys faster and easier than a Kershaw Speedsafe, and is also very quiet, which makes it seem less threatening. I used to have a Small Sebenza, and I prefer this knife (the Sebbie is an incredible knife too, just this one fits my needs/wants a little more). Has a handle big enough for my hand, is lighter with a better slicing grind. It even has the rounded top edge on the knife like the Sebbie.

All this for about 250 less than a base model Mnandi. The Eros 2 is even smaller and lighter. It weighs .7 ounces. Gonna pick up one of those soon too.

I tend to go with one of my smarter Kershaw Leeks. Hides away nicely and discrete when I am in suits or slacks. Sometimes carry the Kershaw Centafonte too which is really nice around the office.

Try a Kershaw Skyline. Blade length is the same as the Paramilitary, but the whole package is even thinner. Nice, sleek little cutter!

First, thanks to all of you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Several knifes I didn't even know existed were brought to my attention.

I received my Sebenza 21 with the 35ss today. Wow, what a nice knife. My only other CRK is a Mark IV. I bought an Eros today and hope and feel that one of these two will be my new "suit pant duty knife".

I'll update when the Eros arrives.

I often use a Spyderco Michael Walker for this purpose. An alternative would be Moki lockback folder - they come in different sizes. The carbon fiber Walker weighs in at 1.9 oz and is thin. I find the size is handy and it disappears in the pocket...it is only 3 5/8" long.

Complete newbie here, but have had a knife of one sort or another in my pocket since I was 10. I'm also in a suit most every day, and I'm carrying a Spyderco Sage 1 CF. The knife is small and light, the carbon fiber scales have enough texture to give good purchase, but not abrade the fabric of my slacks, and the subdued color deep carry wire clip is very discrete.

The knives I press in to suit duty are as follows: BM 530, Spyderco Kopa(carbon fiber or giraffe bone), and Dragonfly SS (PE or SE). All of these ride quite nicely in suit pants/ slacks and don't abrade the pockets.

The benchmade (formerly Lone Wolf) Paul series looks like it might fit the bill.

IF you can wait for it to come out, the buck lux pro is going to be my new dress edc. American made, carbon fiber, and a flipper in a small package.
