Ok guys, I wanted to make a down and dirty machete style knife that would actually be used. This was completely forged to shape. There is still some forge marks on it. I didnt etch the Suminigashi steel because I wanted to leave it rough and didnt want to give the buyer a reason to not use it. That being said, There is low layer damascus cladding on a hitachi white steel core in there. The cladding is super tough.

Mason, that is a work of art! Big for my tastes, but a nice piece. Keep up the work and looking forward to what's next.

Great lookin blade. Just curious not sure if I missed it but what do you use to clad the white with? Just curious.

Thanks guys.

Quint- it's clad in gokunantetsu (Japanese mild steel) with a high nickel low carbon steel, all over a white #2 core.

Martin- much appreciated buddy!
