During the hot days of summer a I enjoy wheat or hefeweizen beers. Mixed drink's call for a Dark 'n Stormy - Sailor Jerry's Rum and a spicy hot ginger beer e.g. Barritt's.

A good cold beer, or a fresh mojito, and a few sips of Maker's mark with ginger ale at night.

I'm going to have to try that beer Margarita. Here is a friend of mine recipe he calls it his day time Margarita.
squeez a wedge of lime in a 16 oz glass with a dash of salt ad 3oz of Tequila fill with ice and top off with Squirt.
For those who haven't tried them the Dark and Stormy is a great drink I like a squeez of a little lime in mine. :)

Last Fall, I developed a taste for Margaritas when in Akumal, MX.

3 oz Tequila (100% Agave is best, Patron Silver, or 30/30 work well)
2 oz Triple Sec
2 oz Fresh lime juice
1/2-1 oz Simple syrup

Combine in a shaker with ice and serve on the rocks with salt on the Margarita rim (outside only) to taste.

Refreshing but potent.

You've been warned...

Mai Tai I personally think they are very refreshing and very tasty. I do make mine very simular to the T. V. recipe, and like them much more than the fruit juice filled ones. Truthfully I think the fruit juice filled recipes aren't really a Mai Tai but a Hawaiian Punch.
This is how I make a Mai Tai
3 parts dark rum or sub half gold rum never white rum
3/4 parts Curicau or Triple sec
3/4 parts Orgeat syrup
1 part fresh lime juice
shake with crushed ice and then shake some more really shake the heck out of it. Pour into 16 oz glass and drink up.

Although I love margaritas and mojitos, last year, after moving to Israel, I decided to experiment.

I took some passion fruit and froze them
After freezing, scoop out the insides, then fill blender with fresh OJ or grapefruit juice. (pineapple would work, but didn't have any fresh here. Would have liked a touch of lime juice too, but same story).

A few glugs of dark anejo rum. Folks with a sweet tooth may want to add some brown sugar.

Blend it--don't put any ice in it, the passion fruit will cool it off.
