I really liked reading that. I've read stories from history and literature of men having a spiritual connection with steel swords and knives. I hope someday to experience it.

I don't think I can come up with anything better as far as "true blue" than they're American made and top notch quality as has already been pointed out..

But that is a gorgeous knife...Really striking...good on you for the super generous giveaway!

Saying something is 'True Blue' is about as high a compliment as you can pay in Australia. If something is True Blue, it's the real deal, no compromise, reliable, without pretense. Sounds like a Becker to me.

Thanks for the chance.

Beckers may be the true blue knife for me....but I haven't gotten my hands on one yet. :(

Hoping to have some spare cash for one soon. Yours is gorgeous!

I will benefit greatly from receiving your blue scales, as it will teach me with great example how to show off a custom set of scales (I've been working on a few sets myself) as my last set for my BK2 sits too high and it makes me so very sad- Also it would make the ladies love me, and I haven't had the ladies love me for a while.

Thanks for the chance, you must be some kind of saint to just give them away :P

Becker is a true blue knife for me because I fell in love with KaBar, after going through years of knockoff crap and chinese crap I eventually broke down and started buying USA made Kabars. Been happy ever since!

ps: A Mk1 Kraton Handle coming Monday!

My Becker is a true blue because it lets us hearken back to days of yore, when a knife was not just a convenience but a necessity; because it lets me get done what needs to get done; and because it makes me feel confidence in the future, as I'll be able to do what needs to be done in days to come.

Pug..

As you can see, lot's of other folks have Broken that "rule"..

Some folks wax eloquent about their Beckers and I cannot blame them, including you.

Your post was fine.. I've amended that "rule" in the first post..

I hope it's in my history somewhere. Otherwise I'm off to write it again.

Edit: Yep. Back to the grind.

Like I said.. It's all good. I am glad I noticed your amended post and the reason why..

I hate too many strings attached to giveaways etc. myself. It should be fun, not a school assignment.

Have a great Sunday!

Beckers are what got me into this fascinating world of knives and completely changed my perspective on blades in general. And this community is just wonderful. True blue indeed :) Thanks for the chance!

My Becker knives are a true blue companion in the field because they are what they are - effective and reliable tools for the practical working man. There's no pretense, no hype, no acronyms to decipher, no endless introduction of different models, no break the bank prices...just straightforward variations on a few simple and classic themes. Just pick your number - 1 through 17 (sans 8) - and let's roll!

I only have a BK-14 because I'm young and broke, But they seem to be the biggest strongest knives on the market. Total tanks.

My Becker is a true blue companion because it always ready, willing and able... It does what it does, and loves doing it. After many scotches, I swear I can hear it call to me .... But I know it's just the scotch.....I think..

Thanks for the chance at an extremely generous give away.

Doc

In new to Becker, have a bk-16 and really love it. Those curly maple tweener scales would look GREAT on my knife!!

I've always loved knives but it wasn't until I had my first Becker that I realized I had a problem. :)
