Okay folks, I just received 2 of the new Chaparral Sun/Moons and they are extremely nice. Both are perfect in every way, and the MOP is super iridescent on both. Love the smooth G10, and the knife just makes a great gentleman's knife. No, this knife is not for anyone looking for their next hard user, but if you want an elegant little folder that has a slicey little blade and is aesthetically pleasing, give it a shot.

I got one on order too. Should ship tomorrow. This one is going to be a gift . If i love it , I will try to get another.
I have only bought golden Colorado KNIVES for me But the Taiwan knifes are said to be of the highest quality.
I bought my grandsons delicas and they are fine little knives. They are made in Japan. And they are a great starter

Love the model and the materials but the non-matching scales don't do it for me. Hope to see burlap micarta in the future or simple polished G-10.

PICTURES please!

Since the beginning of time, man has yearned to destroy the sun. I don't appreciate this knife reminding me it still exists.

??????

The covers remind me of the One Eyed Jack and I really like that version. Very slick.

This is what I have been thinking as well!
I would really like to see one in person first, mostly because I’ve never handled a Chaparral and would like to check out the form-factor in hand.

FWIW, I’m fan of Taichung Spydercos.

Can't believe there's not more luv for this model...gonna buy a dub!

the fit on the Sun/Moon inlays is jawdropping  !!!

Like most pretty things with iridescence and chatoyance, it's impossible for me to capture all the glory of the Moon...

it literally looks different from every angle:

the Sun  is awesome in it's own way:

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I especially like the moon side.

I would like to have seen red coral or some semi-precious red mineral instead of G10 in the 'sun'. Still, it is a great looking knife.

Chaps feel very good in the hand. I recently sold my cf chap and miss it...

Well it came and I gave it to my son in law. It's a first class edc and finished perfect
Having a sun and a moon on it only makes it better for a mason . His smile was priceless.
Thanks sypderco
