Tsimi, et al:
This is the Sun, Moon, & Stars khukuri that I rehandled for Quiet Limey in Honey Locust.
Please pardon the quality of the pix. I looked for the old post & couldn't find it in the archives.

And fellow forumites I am not taking any more work in because of my ups and downs with my health problems.
If the doc's ever get me straigtened out then I will reconsider.
Thanks for understanding.

Oh yeah, I made the new frog as well. It is a 200 year frog made from 9-10 ounce saddle quality leather.

Does anyone remember who made these khkuris?
And were they made by more than one kami?
Rusty, Bro.?

Beautiful work, Bro. I wish we could get that leather so we could have a 200 year frog rather than only 100!

I can't remember the kami but I'll bet Rusty does and if he can't we can alway ask Berk who can find anything and everything.

To the best of my recollection, Sanu was the only kami making them.

Berk?

You grabbed one too, did you ever make any pictures of it you could post?

Sorry, guys, but I was never fast enough to grab one of these when they came around. Surely Harry has one - he has at least one of each HI model ever made, doesn't he?

These were some of the most beautiful HI.Khukuri's ever made IMO.
And if Uncle Bill hasnt substituted another pic for it there is a pic or some pix of a very beautiful model like this that has a pure white scabbard.
IIRC Uncle Bill let it go for $175.00.
I have a pic and the story that I printed off for my collection and journal.
And Rusty you're correct in that Sanu made them, or at least he made the one with the white scabbard.
Uncle Bill posted it on Sep.15th,1999
I sure wish I had of jumped on this one, but I didn't think I could afford it and I also think I owed Uncle Bill quite a bit then too.

If anyone's interested and the link with the pic is gone I will try to post it again, but I don't know how it will come out.
I liked photopoint better with the ability to add or subtract contrast.

Bingo!

Thanks Howard! It is the lower pic, the close up of the blade that I wanted everyone to see.

Forged in engraving. Now that is most definitely not tourist stuff.

Unfortunately, at least for little guys like me, I still think it's too heavy to use on unarmored opponents.

That's it Howard and Thanks!!!!
It's a much better pic than what I was gonna get with photopoint!!!

And whomever got it for $175.00 got one helluva deal IMO!!!

It's still an impressive rig even with the newer stuff coming out of BirGhorka.
Can y'all tell I love these khuk's?
