Not sure if this is worth a whole new post but... Ive been seeking a way to carry a little bit less/ lighter/ smaller powdered magnesium. So I used someone else's idea concerning PJCBs' and placed it (carefully) inside a straw.
To test it - just a ferro rod and striker and about 12-14 strikes lit the sealed straw.Burned for 15-25 seconds approximately.
Pretty fun thing on a lazy Sunday.
Oh yeah, also a coyote ran a bit behind us while practicing tracking at a local wildlife area, that was very cool.
