Yesterday i went on a hike with a group of other people. To a place thats called the Bridge to nowhere. There are alot of people that prospect for Gold in the area. We came across a group of guys they said they found about 2oz of gold .

Well then we ended up at the bottom and this was the first time of the many crossing of the river. You would notice that the water is muddy you cant see into it what so ever.

Here its me crossing, I let most of the group cross first to not take a chance of walking into too deep of the water with my camera

Here we started to go above the river i didnt want to post too many pics of us crossing the river back and forward

That looked a great hike bro !!!

I can imagine how hooked you could become looking for the gold eh !!!!!

Great pictures.

Santa Clarita River? Piru River? Lytle Creek??

I used to explore a lot around those areas and always enjoyed it. Found a little gold now and then, also... but not much.

Wasn't unusual to run across a rattlesnake up in some of those areas.

Thanks guys it realy was a good hike i loved walking across the river. Sometimes i let other walk in to see how deep it was.. One guy was walking with water to his knee and then he steped into a hole up to his chest... I can tell you one thing its no fun to have your feet wett all day long on a hike.. Felt soo good to take the shoes off and let the feet dry for 30min, before heading back.

looks like a great hike, nice weather, good companions, nice scenery.

on the river crossings...one of the reasons i like sandals or barefeet instead of socks and shoes. also, my light swimsuit worn as underwear allows me to strip real quick for crossings and dry off on the other side...but i don't normally have to do any crossings in the water, the swimsuit comes in handy for swimming anyways.

is the water muddy on its own or because of all the gold searching activity?

Looks like a good time, Sasha! What was all in your lunch? Bread, olives, cheese, tomato, zucchini....yum

Siguy you dont have time to take your shoes off and then put them back on. You just walk and about 10min later you need to cross the water again. You just got wet and stayed wet for the all day. The water was way too muddy to swin in it. The River picks up alot of dirt and sand and GOLD. It was muddy almost all the way from the top as far as we did hike, Something in those hills.
rocky you are right almost, It was spicy Goat Feta cheese and Cucumbers. Were missing some garlic to go with it. But had to watch my breath lol.

Cool pics. Those yuca look pretty darn cool.

Did ya jump from the bridge too? :):)

Sasha that looked awesome. Use to hike and stuff in the cohon pass alot when I was a kid, reminded me of there. Great pics, thanks for makin me reminise....

Great pics Sasha, my wife loved the rock wall (she loves rock climbing). Is this the seasonal run-off that makes is so muddy?

ROCK6

They charge $69 for the first jump or $125 for 5 jumps. Im afraid of hights to put it mildly, so i figure what a better reason to do it.. Its my first time to the area. When i asked about it the answer was that its always muddy just sometimes more so like now.. The same minerals that make the water so muddy as the ones that you find where the gold is.. Rock6 your wife would have loved the area.. Lots of cliffs to climb on. She would have spend a week and never even seen the same cliff twice.

Great pics! I've been there, deep in the San Gabriels. A couple friends did the bungie jump, not me though!

Water is always muddy. That bridge was build in the 1936.. There is alot of history in that area.. From the 20s and 30s. Most of it has to do with Gold..
