Looks like a lot of us got out for a nice Sunday hike. I had along my wife and a buddy of mine. I think I need a new camera battery though as it doesn't seem to hold a charge very long, so I only got a couple pics.

Wow, love that rock face. You can see all kinds of things if you look at it enough!
 
Nice looking area, thanks for sharing the pictures. Mind if I ask; Where were you? I'm thinking I'd like to visit that area sometime.

Most of my hikes are in the Santa Susana mountains here in southern California. There are hundreds of acres, with countless trails in the area. I just found this particular trail, and the trailhead is only 5 minutes from my house. Here's more on the area http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Susana_Mountains
 
You're a lucky guy to have such a sweet spot so close to home.

Hey tknife! You are in my backyard! Rocky peak is nice. White face is a great hike also. Trail head is just downhill from the new Simi Dog park in Big sky community. There are only some very majestic oaks scattered far and wide in Simi Valley, but the fire a few yrs. back took down most of the scrub oaks. It is a great area for day hiking. Thousand Oaks has some great trails that I need to explore. It was fun seeing someone else on BF hiking where I go.
