From the top (all with BOS markings):
296,
Tempest, liner lock, ATS-34, first non-110 from Buck, my beloved attny. Father-In-Law said, when viewing this knife for the first time, "switchblade." Carried back when I was experimenting with lanyards (amber bead acquired after a long search). A great flipper, terrific lock, my kind of blade shape and a joy to carry.
Collaboration, Tom Mayo,
TNT, Ti frame, S30V blade, frame lock. Lite as air. Looks and feels rich. Lots of useful belly on this blade. I had to save and then shop
hard to justify buying this beauty.
Collaboration, 882,
Police, Strider-Tarani, liner lock, fantastic jimping from gloved-hands on the forward and reverse grip surfaces, stone-washed blade for covertness and thick blade.
Stuff, non-knives, in the pic I found while looking for something to photograph for today's SPS (thank you ITE):
Tooth: found on ground when I was eight-years-old on a hike with my father in the wilds.
BMW, MC tank badge from a 1979T brought back to life, rolling basket case, by me after a ten-years slumber. Heavy, tractor-like, airhead that ran like a top after a bit of $%# (fun). Sold years ago to an enthusiast for a song and dance.
Coin, 1 colon, from a month-long trip to Central America, mainly Costa Rica, during the 70's. Happy times, swimming in the warm ocean, friendly people, fresh fruit, narrow-guage RXR trip across the Istmus, monkeys and crabs in the trees.
Big ball bearing: rolled out of frame, unfortunately, from grandfather when I was a child (one of many wonderful gifts in addition to his favor of valuable time spent with goofy little me and, seriously, knowing my Grandfather seems to me now just like time travel of some sort. He sailed on steel-hulled Clipper ships, spoke foreign languages, played the banjo and harmonica and made me want to proceed into the future (both self-taught)).
Thank you for looking.
