By straightening the tip and streamlining the butt of the Loveless model, Lovestrand imparts a sinister grace to his subhilts that reminds me of a hungry Great White cruising the littorals for seals or surfers. Cosmetically, at least (I never hefted one), they quicken my pulse faster than any other style that I've laid eyes on so far.
I'm with Roger on the Young. It's striking to me what straightening Loveless' little turn-up tip does for appearance. Many demand faithful reproductions of Loveless models, but not me; if tweaking looks better, I'm all for it.
