Very beautiful. What part of Germany?

I love the forest pictures, that looks like an extremely beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I wonder why people from far away places don't post more pics?

Me? I don't know how.

Thanks for the weather advice. It will be funny as I will be coming in from the end leg of a trip to the desert where it will be hot and dry. I'm sure the UAE customs guy will think I'm some nutjob for having raingear in my suitcase :)

andy: i live in the middle of germany. near dortmund, 100 km from dusseldorf and cologne ;) i see you are living in atlanta. we can meet at the blade 2008

kgd: :D will they know how a rain siut looks like????

cheers

Very nice picks, always love the green landscapes you guys show :)
Also cool looking house.

Hi Arne,

I miss the green, humid climate, it gives a nice feel (where are the banjos, ok this is Rheinland so how about a descent brew). Now living in a far drier climate it gets boring at times (brown on brown with a brown background).

Nice pics.

Those are beautiful pictures. The forest floor is so clean, it almost looks carpeted with no undergrowth. Are they managed or cleaned out regularly, or is this the way they look naturally? I don't see any logs or fallen trees or anything like that.

Keep the pictures coming!

I really like the beech forest. When I first arrived in Germany in 1981, it was late October and I was in a beech forest just like that shortly afterward, with full fall colors (between Koeln and Bergisch-Gladbach).
