Here's one I finished a few weeks ago. My wife, Tina scrimed it for a good friend of ours. I don't make many Sunfish pattern folders anymore and Tina rarely does any scrim, but he'd been wanting one for years.

Thanks for lookin!

What more could you want than a DHIII with two sunfish? Beautifully done! Hope that you have it in Little Rock for a closer view.

Well, Don, it's easy to see why the Sunfish is your signature stamp, even if you don't make them too often anymore. This is amazing. Great Damascus as always, and Tina's scrim is just beyond belief. Too much.

Thanks, John.

Gary, Mr. Coop sent this off to it's new home a while back. I meant to post it
sooner, but forgot:o

That is a real work of art, a beautiful piece in every way and that sunfish is fantastic.:thumbup::thumbup:

my favourite Don Hanson knife:thumbup:
this one says it all.

Sweet little folder; love the contrasting liners!! It's a pity that Tina doesn't scrim that much anymore because she is very talented.

I came so close to picking one up in '06, alas..
This is the nicest one I've seen, intense scrimshawing !

That's as nice as it gets! You need anymore good friends Don? ;)

Great to see another sunfish folder coming out of Sunfish Forge. And, really great seeing more of Tina's scrimshaw work. Super folder loaded with Hanson talents!

Outstanding work in every regard. Your friend must be thrilled with the new knife.

BEAUTIFUL Don! I recall some years back you made a few Sunfish that caught my eye.

I was wondering if you still made them. One in particular had amazing blue mammoth with dark fissures, and was engraved by Joe Mason if I recall.

Tina did a VERY nice job on the scrimshaw.

Thanks for the good words, folks! Much appreciated!

Peter, I believe that one had damascus bolsters and no engraving. I can not forget ivory like that.:)
Some of the earlier Sunfish got engraving after they left my hands.
