Can anyone give me some models that are right for a larger face?
Open to any good brand. Been thinking about Maui Jims.

Oakley Jupiter Factory Lite. These are my personal favorites. They have polarized lenses, an aluminum frame, and carbon fiber ear stems. After having bad experiences with plastic frames on my prescription glasses, I refuse to ever go back to anything that isn't a metal frame. The plastics get eaten up by whatever stuff you put on your face, which for me is benzoyl peroxide (acne stuff or I break out). Plastic also tends to slip down your nose as your face gets sweaty during the day. The carbon fiber ear pieces may seem tacky at first glance, but are really only noticeable when you're really up close and personal. Also, they are black carbon fiber on the outside. They are red on the inside. The hinges are titanium and analogous to a leaf spring. They don't look like springs, but they do have flex in them inherent to their design. These stay put on your face.

Here's a pic from Oakley's website.

Here's a pic next to my other various daily things.

They are expensive, but well worth it. I say that being a sunglass snob. NOTE: some of the lesser Oakley's are now made overseas and branded China if I recall correctly. These are unbranded, but I've been told from higher ups, that they are made in Italy.

I have Maui Jim "island time" sunglasses and love them by far the best brand I have every used, we'll worth the money. Looking at buying a second pair of Maui Jim's not sure of which style yet.

My vote goes to Oakley. Been using them for a long time and they've worked out well. They have all types of styles, colors, materials, and lens configurations. Check their website.

I wish clip-on sunglasses were more common so I don't have to spend all day to find them
I find the best type for me are neutral grey ,polarized !

Oakley Oil Rigs. They always seems to slip off my face a bit, just recently got some Flak Jackets and they're much more snug. I have a medium-large head. The oil rigs were very stylish not gaudy though. they put up with a couple years hard use and still are in quite useable condition. I suppose that's what you would expect from Oakley, I don't need to tell you that :) hope that helps!

Thanks, had a pair of Oakley Radar Paths. Fit my face great but they had a coating that was suppose to resist sweat and oil but they would smear badly and were very hard to clean. Got a pair of Ray Ban new Wafarers now and like them but they are still a little small for my face.

I am a big fan of the Maui Jim Ho'okipa MJ Sport Sunglasses in Maui Rose. I own two pair [one of which stays in my car].

Costa Del Mar Hammerheads fit my large head very well. I have had several Oakleys and a few Natives and Costas are my favorite by far.

Serengeti Aviator sunglasses come in medium, large, and monstrously huge.
(or used to.)

Maui Jims, but try pick a pair with an actual frame that surrounds the lenses instead of just two screws pinning the lens to each side, as the stresses tend to cause the screw to tear out the threads.

If you have a mall or glasses place near you go there and start trying on different models sometimes a pair of sunglasses you think would fit right don't and the pair that you randomly try on fit perfectly.

I am a big fan of Serengetis and Maui Jim (although I only own MJ and Rayban now). I own MJ Hamoa beach. They fit my fat face well.

Another vote for oakley - i have a few pairs, FlakJackets fit my face best
I have a fairly large head too

Costa Del Mar has several large and extra large designs as well as many lense options. They have a great warranty and their web site is a pleasure to use.

If your budget will allow I would spring for glass lenses. They are difficult to scratch, last for years and the optics are incredible. I stick with an amber base, they are super crisp and vivid. In my eyes, the greys seem to have a dull, drabby effect.

I keep an older pair of Wave Killers in my glove compartment as beaters and use Harpoons for everyday.

American Optical are pretty budget friendly for the quality (Polarized, glass lenses and made in USA all for under $100) Randolph Engineering is a little pricier but has a slightly bigger selection (also made in the USA)

Some may not care, but I thought the 60 Minute piece was interesting, Luxottica is nearly a monopoly and has bought several well known brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley whose prices are kept artificially high. (several models of Ray-Bans are now made in China)

Summary from wiki:
Recent criticism has come upon the high prices of Luxottica's luxury brand named glasses, such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, and several others. A 2012 60 Minutes segment focused on whether the company's extensive holdings in the industry were used to keep prices high. Luxottica owns not only a large portfolio of brands such as Ray-Ban and Oakley, but retailers like Sunglass Hut and Oliver Peoples, as well as the optical departments at Target and Sears. In addition, by owning the vision insurance company EyeMed, it controlled a portion of the buyers' side of the market as well.[24] CEO Guerra said that Luxottica did have competitors at the retail level in the American market, such as Walmart, Costco, and Warby Parker.[24]

ETA:
Small addition to the Oakley Story:
In early 1996, Oakley had a pricing dispute with Italian company Luxottica, one of the world's largest eyewear manufacturers and retailers. Luxottica stopped carrying Oakley's products in their stores, including Sunglasses Hut, and Oakley's stock market value declined 33%

On June 21, 2007, Luxottica announced a plan to purchase Oakley in a cash deal worth $2.1 billion, paying a 16% premium over the extant share price.[12] The deal was completed on November 15, 2007, making Oakley part of a portfolio that includes brands such as Ray-Ban, Persol, and Vogue.

Maui Jim. I have Breakwalls, and I love them. They're extremely light and durable. The optical quality is the best I've seen from any brand so far. They are comfortable to wear, and they stay put regardless of what you're doing while wearing them.
