American Optical are pretty budget friendly for the quality (Polarized, glass lenses and made in USA all for under $100) Randolph Engineering is a little pricier but has a slightly bigger selection (also made in the USA)
Some may not care, but I thought the 60 Minute piece was interesting, Luxottica is nearly a monopoly and has bought several well known brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley whose prices are kept artificially high. (several models of Ray-Bans are now made in China)
Summary from wiki:
Recent criticism has come upon the high prices of Luxottica's luxury brand named glasses, such as Ray-Ban, Oakley, and several others. A 2012 60 Minutes segment focused on whether the company's extensive holdings in the industry were used to keep prices high. Luxottica owns not only a large portfolio of brands such as Ray-Ban and Oakley, but retailers like Sunglass Hut and Oliver Peoples, as well as the optical departments at Target and Sears. In addition, by owning the vision insurance company EyeMed, it controlled a portion of the buyers' side of the market as well.[24] CEO Guerra said that Luxottica did have competitors at the retail level in the American market, such as Walmart, Costco, and Warby Parker.[24]

Small addition to the Oakley Story:
In early 1996, Oakley had a pricing dispute with Italian company Luxottica, one of the world's largest eyewear manufacturers and retailers. Luxottica stopped carrying Oakley's products in their stores, including Sunglasses Hut, and Oakley's stock market value declined 33%
On June 21, 2007, Luxottica announced a plan to purchase Oakley in a cash deal worth $2.1 billion, paying a 16% premium over the extant share price.[12] The deal was completed on November 15, 2007, making Oakley part of a portfolio that includes brands such as Ray-Ban, Persol, and Vogue.
