That dye job on the yellow rose is amazing! How did you go about dying it?
Thanks! I used Fiebings Pro Leather Dye. Can't recall precisely what colors I used.... I think it was a combo of light and dark brown. You soak it in the dye, then soak it in rubbing alcohol, switching it out until it runs clear.

This dye is color fast in bone and works really well. I've done it with several knives.

kinda sorta yellow ... I "think" Imperial may have been going for a Antique/Aged Ivory look ... 🤔
1975 to 1976 (Hollow Bolster) Imperial Bicentenial ("large"; 4 inch closed) Stockman.
I really like the Old Hickory-ish "forged" blade detail.

IMG_20240317_085310.jpg The "cover's" (note quotes) vernier isn't Celluloid, 😁👍
It is either Nylon or a non--Celluloid (semi-flexable) plastic.
I removed and re-installed the pile side vernier without any damage yesterday, before confirming it isn't Celluloid.

After it was off, I couldn't see the discoloration/"bubbles" I was concerned about.

This (no doubt inexpensive when new) Hollow Bolster Imperial is a very strong contender for my 2024 Knife of The Year.
I might have to get a custom die ("dice" is plural, you know.) with each of the three contenders on it twice and 180° apart, to determine the winner. 🤔🤨🙄
