Super Blue worth it?

Looks juicy. :foot:

Some things are not meant to be... I spent a lot of hours researching and saving for this one, but somehow it didn't push through. Supplier emailed me, the blade had some dotted stains. I know I can probably have it patina over time but am not ready for that yet. The search for the next Spydie goes on.

I've narrowed down it to the next 2 choices... Perrin PPT S30V or Manix Cru-Wear. And my fallback is an Endura VG-10 in case things won't work out. Pls lemme know your suggestions/thoughts!

Well the Perrin is cool, but CRUWEAR is my favorite steel and S30V my least favorite. Both limited editions too

beautiful gray scales; cruwear certainly appeals to me more, as my pm2 is already s30v.

I think they are all can't miss. If you truly prefer to avoid patinas or rust than some simple techniques will do the job. I have carbon and alloy non stainless knives years old that look like my stainless knives and I don't really work hard at it.

Of course the stainless models like VG10 are very fine premium steels with excellent performance. Get what you really want and not something else because you will likely spend more money in the future going back and getting the knife you wanted all along. That's how it works for me anyways. :)

Thanks Joe for the valuable insight... Having not much knowledge on these special steels, I will do my homework, slowly but surely. :D

I've seen one SB endura and one SB delica on some call «the evil auction site» just yesterday

The Manix in Cru Wear is a super knife. I don't have THAT one, but I can tell you Cru Wear is a fantastic steel. I have had several Manix knives and I really like them a great deal. Good size, easy to EDC. There is so much win in that knife it's not even funny. I can virtually assure you you will like it.
