Had a few of the guys over for a super double secret hammer-in today..... (What didn't Mike invite you?) It was kind of a comming out party for "Bernadette" my 50 pounder LG.
I didn't have a forge for damascus(my little whisper forge just aint hot enough)...and one of the guys was gonna bring one, but ended up not being able to. So in about 15 mins. we whiped up a forge from some parts I had laying around and a quick trip to the hardware store....and we were off and forg welding in no time!:D
Hope Mike or Paul will post some pics...I got some too with my new camera...just need to sit down with the manuel and figure ou how to get them on the computer now.

Mace, Did your Little Giant come with a manual? The camera should be easy to down load. Its the other crap that is hard to figure out. Glad the new toy is working. I bet your hit of the neighborhood.
 
mace you need to mention the forge was put together in a very macyver like style... we had an old shop vac on reverse for a blower :rolleyes:

but all tuned up this thing was running at 2.75 PSI and hitting welding heats no problem.

Well Manuel and I talked...he even gave me a manual for me to look at for the camera, but none for the hammer. The bad news is my computer is so out of date I can't load the software for my new camera.:jerkit: Sorry but the pics will have to wait till I get my new computer.:cool:

Mike, You really took the bull by the horns with that forge and McGyverd the heck out of it. It was amazing how fast...and how well that thing ran.
Think I'll have to toss all those old blowers.

i was going to go with the "old blowers " set up. but ,at least for now ,my humor is above that:D
 
I'm bummed out :grumpy: I couldn't make it to Mace's for the Super Double Secret Hammer In. I was driving home from Fla. at the time. One thing I did pick up while down there was a new Electric Guitar, hand made by a luthier in North Kingstown, RI.

Sorry Stephan...I got a new camera and my old computer wont led me load the pics. Will have to wait till I get my new computer.:(

ofcourse mike can build a forgeone the spot.. but can he remember to can the batteries in his camera???:grumpy:
