For years I have been using a product called "Flash Tac" to accelerate hardening of super glue.
This product simply worked well. Other accelerators I have tried turned the glue white and/or caused it to bubble up.
My favorite is apparently no longer made. Can anyone offer suggestions for a replacement?
Thanks,

Bill,
No experience with using this product on knives, but I use it for a CA finish on pens and it works like a charm and clear as crystal: Stick-fast is the brand name
I can give you a source if you're interested, send me an e-mail or PM, it's easily found thru google as well.

I use "Quick NCF Accelerator" from Craft Supplies. It comes in a aerosol spray can. A word of warning, if you get some superglue on your hand and some of this spray gets on the superglue you can expect it to get really hot really fast.

Many years ago I used to use a lit cigarette.
Heat makes the glue bubble and discolor. For my restoration work the glue has to be clear and smooth.
I'll order some of each of the suggested accelerators. Thank you!

If you use the accelerator I recomended, don't give the CA a heavy spray. If you do, it will bubble. If you give it several lite sprays it will harden without the bubbles.
