i have some really extra fine 3-D chatoyance curly hard maple blocks. they have been spritz abit with water to bring out the figure. My cutting capabilities need some work-lol... they are all atleast 12" long---2 3/8ths wide and 1 1/8th thick. Letter A is 2/1/2 wide and letter D is 2 1/4 wide. . anyway i want $25 each SHIPPED. thanks marekz paypal is aironrain@gmail.com ABCD---SOLD

man those are awesome looking stuff. I never seen maple like that before. how do you get maple thats curly. i will try to scrape up some cash.br tony
 
some people think curly maple ,also known as fiddleback or flame maple -is the nicest wood around. I feel these are exceptional pieces.maany people stain it --i forgot the method, but it really looks awesome then. i thiink the staining has to do with vinegar and rust. i dont know can anyone clarify. thanks marekz

check out some of the curly maple on the for sale fixed blade--use the search for curly maple and check out the different colors that bring out the chatoyance even more-thanks marekz
 
here are some pictures of some stained curly maple.they are a bit on the red side cause of the dye i used but there are many different tones. there are alot of ways to do it.--research!!!! from what i understnd if you stain it you cant stabilize it. but what about adding color during stabilization--that may work--thanks for looking-marekz

Those are real nice. If you send that curly maple down to WSSI you can have them dye it for you while they stabilize it. Just pick a color you like and have it done. Dye goes all the way thru the block then versus surface dyed....
