I tried a slightly different procedure for my heat treat of this 10V and it gave me about 2 points additional hardness out of quench. This allowed me to leave the hardness higher than I was previously able to. Being a point or a little more harder than I am used to made a huge difference that I could feel when doing the finish grinding. This knife was very resistant my brand new abrasives that usually do not have a problem with high hardness. Not only is this knife thin but it is very hard and will give amazing cutting performance that will put a smile on your face. I filled about 75% of a 90 gallon trash can with 2"x2" cardboard pieces ( about 3 hours of cutting ) and the knife would still cleanly cut printer paper.

Very Nice Homemade Mycarta from Green Canvas and Burlap

Okay, Chris, it's beautiful. I'd love to check out the cutting performance that you've mentioned. Sounds great.
I cannot use this one; too large for my casual use, but somebody will be very happy.
Good work. Your innovative heat-treat; great performing steel and thin blade really make this a winner.
