You know I might just do that. I've got one in white with black blade. Didn't want the same exact thing, but I love axis locks so... good suggestionWhy not get the Benchmade Mini Bugout in carbon-fiber or aftermarket titanium scales?
Cheers, Mac
I've had a Kwaiken, smoothest action I've ever owned. Got rid of it because of the size, but maybe they make them in smaller options now? I'll have a look. Great suggestion. The Boker Burnley Kwaiken comes in various decent steels, and is on the lower end of your budget. Knifecenter, one of our supporting dealers has an exclusive version they just dropped with S35vn, with red micarta scales. A really nice looking knife, and seems like it would fit what you're looking for. Alternately, you can find a Brad Zinker (with your budget, a custom isn't out of the question).
Oh and VG10 which is right at the bottom of my acceptable steel range. Okay another Boker for the win. Now which one is the question. You guys rock!Boker Urban Trapper?

Agreed. I actually always use an old D2 blade for that. It's why I love D2. Takes a great working edge very easily as long a I stay on top of it.I wouldn't break down a pallet of boxes with it, but for an EDC steel, I've always liked VG-10.
If you want slicey look no further than this: 4”, 0.118" Cruwear blade, best cutting folder I own (for comparison, the Spyderco Military is .145" thick). It’s a currently dropping sprint run, you’ll find them new for ca. $280, if you wait a few days.
Merry Christmas.

I recently bought the Reiver and the Shuddan. Shuddan carries better, it's very thin in the handle, has a thinner blade. Both are great, but I like the Shuddan way better. We Reiver seems pretty long and decently slim, never had one in hand though. I can’t recommend scrolling the edc thread enough. Some eye catching stuff and a great resource. Good luck on your search.

Man I love this knife but the price is killing me.Follow up: Nationalknives, one of my favorite dealers, has the Cruwear Stretch 2XL in stock as we speak.
Exactly my carry set up. CW380 front right with knife and cell left. Keys in fifth. Wallet in back. Good to go. You've got a great observation here with that ZT. That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, maybe I'll get it to replace my ZT0770CF. No need for multiple CF ZTs.When I pocket carry a Kahr P380 or a LCP Max, my phone goes in my other pocket. I found the ZT0707 to be one of the thinnest knives out there. Great build quality and a great steel.
Comparison (ZT0620, Benchmade Grizzly Creek, ZT0707)
