After more than a decade of wheeling and dealing here I did what we all hope to never do, I accidentally mixed up 2 addresses while mailing out some packages.
I was returning 2 CF backspacers to Boomer52 because I have a limited run of the knife that they were designed for that has different hardware than the ones he used to design the knife. Neither of us knew this and he graciously Agreed to accept a return for the goods.
During this same timeframe a made a trade with Super2910. You can see where this is going. Super2910 didn’t get his knife, I can’t imagine how that must feel. Instead of bashing me here immediately, he contacted me to see what happened. I explained what I did and told him that I’d make it right by either getting him the knife or sending him the equivalent amount of money, he agreed so I paid him and apologized for him not receiving the knife. He was very understanding and was kind enough to mail the package that he did receive to Boomer52 for me- what a stand up guy.
That brings me to Boomer52, another credit to the forum. He made several trips to his mailbox, he doesn’t live in a suburb, to find my knife. When he did receive it, he returned it to the sender and fixed the final piece of my mistake.
I offered both Men a few dollars for their time, effort, understanding, and postage. Neither one accepted.
I have never had a bad experience here at the forum, being the cause of this going sideways for these two Men bothers me greatly, but, I don’t hide from my mistakes and sharing my mistake is what is necessary for you all to hear about what great forum members these guys are.
Super, Boomer, thank you both very much for your understanding, your honesty, and your help.
