The scales are made out of some hemp burlap that I sent to FOD(Shadetree Phenolics) and he turned it into Hemp Burlap Micarta and even put glow powder in them.

It's one of MM's Pukkos but I had him put one of his Street Fighter handles on it instead cause I like straight handles:thumbup: 3/8" lanyard whole too;)

He said:
Kind freaked me out, I don't have heat in the shop so I do glue ups in the house in the cold months, I got it all glued up and set on my workbench in my bedroom, I left the room, when I went back to go to bed later that night there was this big glowing mass sitting on my workbench, forgot it had the glow dust in it
.

Great design. It looks wicked sharp, and will no doubt make an awesome bushcraft companion.

All the best,

Man HD, you've always got the most badass blades and projects floating around. That thing rocks my face off. Seeing an in hand pic of such a straight handle does encourage my interest in the straight scandi at 'that other place'.

Excited to see the glowing pics, that's both unique and highly practical.

That's a great looking Scandi, Hollowdweller! He sent you some HUGE pics so I bet the scales are going to be great! ((( :D )))

holy huge pics!

that looks really sweet, i like that straight handle. i bet it will be super comfy given MM's reputation

Yeah sorry I couldn't get them sized down for some reason.

It's supposed to be contoured top to bottom, you know wide across the back and narroer where your knuckles bend.

Will have to see how the totally guardless works. Handle looks long enough I can probably sand the handle to make it rougher if it looks like my hand might slide forward.

Looks cool, the straight handles make it look like a small Japanese dagger somehow. (or am I just crazy?)
glow powder is a great idea, that burlap micarta is something else too.

That's funny. I thought the same thing. I mean that wasn't by design but like you when I saw the pic that came to mind.

Great kniffe, HD!
I have always been partial to spearpoints but got the PSK Pukko along with my PSK Bushcraft and found the Pukko to be very handy and versatile. I may have to get a bigger one now. The Hemp Burlap Micarta is VERY cool.

There ya go H.D.

Sorry I had to see how this looked ith out scrolling across the screen.

I love the straight spine of a puuko. I think its a great utility design.

The handles are beautiful, and perfectly executed:thumbup:

Muskrat Man is his code name, Kaleb something is his real name, I have a bushcrafter on the way from a trade, very excited about it. Supposed to be some of the comfiest handles in the biz.

Jim, that knife looks awesome .And that hemp is pretty damn cool. Papyrus is next!
