Nice knife. I'd love to have one, but it breaks the bank :(

What do you particularly like about it?

The compression lock and carbon fiber handles, light and strong. (Sorta like a Hawk, anyway, different) I got that one off eBay way cheaper than discount even. (got lucky)
Those pictures were taken with the marco adjustment and I'm not sure they aren't way too detailed, the handles look unreal!

Does a hawkbill (do you call this a hawkbill?) cut better/more efficiently than a more traditional/conventional drop point, or something that curves outwards?

 compression lock, carbon fiber grips, wire clip, VG-10, and :( dangit a hawkbill blade. So close to a perfect folder (IMO)... if only it were drop point oh well.

:D still a kick A knife

It certainly would be great for pulling cuts. (such as rope, trimming branches)
Would definitely have its disadvantages for detailed work and straight piercing.
I know back in my Granddad's day the Hawk-Bill was a feared knife for self-defense. Not, so much now as there's a lot more knives styles (and great quality) to pick from.

This is one knife that I've considered acquiring, but I don't have a need for a hawkbill. Love the handle, adore the lock, I'm definitely a fan of VG-10, but the blade shape doesn't do it for me. I find that either straight edges or slightly curved edges give me more utility.

I'm sure it makes a great fighting knife, but I have my P'Kal for that. I do think it would make a better choice than the Civilian.

Once again, nice pics. (where's the corn?) ;-)

Cornfield is behind me as the sun was setting and I needed it to my back, so I'm looking the other way into my yard. I will get a couple of shots of my P'Kal up today. I was just thinking about it, anyway.

The superhawk is a bute of a knife.

Im not sure about the open frame design but thats nothing a custom spacer wouldnt fix

Second, hopefully we could get a SE version along with some G-10 scales.
scales would be icing for me (ie better price) but the se would probably be enough to break me. the cf with vg10 did seem a little odd though....
