I was convinced I was going for the Chinook 3 this year. At the last minute, I got a pretty good deal on the Superhawk. I've actually been looking both for some time. I ordered the Superhawk this morning. I plan on EDC to give my Kris a break.

you'll like the superhawk. they sharpen up really good. i had the chance to check out a few that were sent to me for fine tuning. i just sent one back to gunmike1.

The Superhawk will have alot to live up to. I carried the Kris as my EDC for 2-years and it's been an outstanding knife.

The Superhawk is flat out the best folder I've ever owned. It has perfect ergos, a tremendously strong lock, and the blade is a superb cutter that is very versatile. It is very easy to get extremely sharp on the sharpmaker. Richardj was nice enough to thin my edge (he made the bevels look perfect and it was sharper than from the factory) and the knife now sharpens great at 15 degrees on the sharpmaker. You will love the knife, and if you want a nice thinned out edge on your knife Richardj is your man. I really do think Spyderco hit a grand slam with the Superhawk, it will be in my pocket a real long time. It is just a great knife that I hope sells great. Anyone who uses this knife will really like it, IMO it is a perfect EDC.

The superhawk is a great knife, I like them allot.

I doubt very much you will be dissapointed with it in any way :)

I love my Superhawk. I sent it back to the SFO for a little tweaking. The lanyard tube rattled and I couldn't get the knife apart... eh.

I carried it for a good month alongside my Military. Love the profile. Carries very well in pocket, opens smoothly, feels great in the hand. All over excellent knife.

Now just do the same thing in H1! :D

Course I'd also add that I love my Chinook 3 as well. Exceptional knife with most of the same ergos as the Superhawk. Bit heavier with a nice blade shape. Tank like backlock to boot.

I plan on picking up the Chinook 3. It has been on the radar for along time. The new Manix 2 is on the list as well. Something about the Superhawk just clicked. I've never tried the compression lock, so that will be interesting. I have only heard good things about this locking system. I'll know fairly quickly how the blade shape lends to EDC. For some reason, everyone always asks to use my knife (Lemme see your knife for "a minute").
