Superstition /Knives

Well, since "Question from a superstitious knife guy"
then it seems like you want to continue carrying it.
So, why not ? ...Replace the clip, or do a 'no clip' deep pocket carry, as mentioned...
-Or- a 'no clip' deep pocket Lanyard carry option.

I believe it is telling you that it is more comfortable at the bottom of your pocket than clipped on the outside in the cold. /snip/
Lol :D...I got a kick otta that !

The Delica is one of those knives that can ride unobtrusively without a clip. And it makes for a better grip without a clip in the way.

Pull the screws, fill the holes, keep on truckin' on.

And buy yourself a new knife anyways. This is BFC, man!

This, right here.

Well I’m back at work and “ old faithful “ is in my pocket .
I went through a huge amount of deliberation before leaving home .
I just can’t take the chance of something going wrong because I wasn’t carrying the Delica .
I guess I’m carrying it forever now .
I’m going to try it without the clip for awhile, but must admit initially it doesn’t feel right and I’ve found myself looking over my shoulder constantly to make sure there’s no bus coming at me or clouds that may produce lightning.

The Endura/Delica clip sucks. The lanyard hole is the weak link. Replace with a solid Manix 2 clip and rock on.

Ditch the clip and carry in bottom of pocket. I lost a knife thanks to the clip, while riding my bicycle. (maybe I should have clipped it to the inside of my boot, instead of my pocket?)
Also get a second or third ... fifth .... knife. There is no "rule" or "law" that you can only carry one atta time. :)
If you don't care for loose in pocket, a fanny pack or sheath is a viable option.

Over the last 60 ~ 61 years, I've lost exactly one knife while carrying loose in my pocket:
A six blade (discontinued thus irreplaceable) Rough Ryder yellow stockman.
(it might be buried on the floor in my camper, and I just haven't located it yet. I remember using it at Arby's ... I'm pretty sure I put it back in my pocket after I cut my sandwich ... Arby's alleges no one turned it in ...)
I normally carry at least two or three slipjoints loose in my RFP, plus a lockback or an two bade slipjoint folding hunter on my belt.

Replace the clip, don't be some goober with it jangling down in the bottom. Those are the kind of folk that still swear off polymer rifle stocks.

Also knife superstition? I'm weird with weapons and pay to have them blessed at a Hindu temple in front to Chandi herself but for some reason I'm not superstitious I just feel weird not carrying at least one at all time and I might not even need it that day. It's like not taking a shower when I wake up.

I tried carrying it without the clip , but just couldn't get on with it .
So out came my boxes of bits and spyderco stuff and a new/seconhand clip was found .

You own more Japanese real-estate in that bin than most people who live in that country.

Lol

They do get used , but only after work and on weekends because I carry Lucky during work hours .
I decided to keep the piece of broken clip and put it into my box of bits because as someone mentioned earlier " What if the Luck is in the clip and not the knife "
