I have a F-95 Shirogorov that has recently lost its detent ball. Trying to avoid sending it to Russia, putting this out there to see if I can get it repaired within Canada/USA.

Thanks

Contact recon1, they are shiro's state side dealer that handles all repairs. If they can't help you shoot me an email or pm and I more than likely can.

Thanks for the heads up! I thought about them, but I didn't purchase from them.

I'm guessing they would ship it to Russia for repairs. My main concern is shipping from Canada to Russia and back. I know Russia has been known to confiscate knives, and I know first hand Canada doesn't like certain knives on certain days either.

I might try shipping direct to shirogorov and possibly have it shipped to the states on return, and I'd bring it across in person to avoid customs mail sorters butchering Canadian knife laws and calling it a prohibited item (automatic). Which they did on initial purchase.

Still weighing my options. This knife cost me a lot of money and grief to get it, and now I have to send it out in the wild again.

I've contacted a talented knife maker up north here that said he might be willing to take a look at it. I might go that way to avoid the border crossings.

Silly when I live in a country where they're perfectly legal.
