Sure, I should have used my chainsaw, but...

It's a lot more rewarding doing things the hard way, had a fire tonight... made a bow drill and some pine needles. I had a gas can in the garage and a lighter. Makes things interesting.

Great job 230, and some good pics by the way!!! NMFBM has my vote as your first big boy... That ASH is just a fine knife, and I don't think it can be beat for a mid size knife.

Oh yeah, thats right I think NMFBM CG for the next. I was told the CG is thinned down a little causing it to be a little less blade heavy. The LE is awesome though:thumbup:

The CG is next on my list:)

Just the LE I believe. But I hear it is just a short amount of work away from full. Don't quote me.

Is the edge convexed atleast? Either way, I can fix it.

The cg NMFBM has a convexed blade with a small v bevel grind that is easy to blend in. Get a bamma clay or white one, they are as fat as the LE.

It was between the ASH and the tankbuster. I almost went with the tankbuster because it was cheaper, but really liked the looks of the ASH. I couldn't be happier.

I do love my Ash1. I really think it is a great over all shape and design.

I would love a tankbuster as well. I think that your next chopper should be the NMFBMLE.

I agree with Bigfattyt. The NMFBMLE is awesome with the zero convex I highly recommend it. There have been others with the same edge for example this one that Knifehunter had for sale

Either that or the NMSFNOLE for a little smaller knife. Both have the hand shaped micarta and I doubt you would get blisters like that with either of the LE knives.
