Sure is Quiet Over Here.

Probably be easier to have another subforum setup for pics. Then subforums within that for things like Ang Kholas (because there's such a huge variety in just that type of kukri), other kukris, swords, R-series knives, etc. Otherwise, pic threads would get out of hand and hard to navigate quickly.

For a forum that offers custom made knives at good prices almost daily, this place sure is quiet. So, why is it so darned quiet over here?

Seems as if the posts in this Forum are driven by:

* DOTD/YBB; this then leads to

* Review and/or Pic's of latest purchase; which in turn helps spawn

* Newbie questions.

Of course the other area is the H.I. Cantina, and is for all those off topic subjects.

The Photo threads are great except for those with slow connections but patience is a virtue!

Since this is a specific Manufacturer's Sub Forum with a unique and generous special DOTD direct from the importer, I think we rightly can not follow the lead of other sub Forums and have a Used H.I. product specific sales area/marketplace even if it may increase increase activity?

The picture thread would be fine, in my opinion if everyone could search in it.

When you have Mozilla's Firefox Browser it has a probably little known feature ---- Simply click on the Ctrl and the 'f' key and a small full screen length popup comes up at the bottom of your screen that says, Find: and has a box you can type the word you want to find in. Then there's a down arrow with 'Next' to it for hunting down the page and then an up arrow with 'Previous' next to it for searching up the page. The little tool makes it real easy to find a word or a file reference among hundreds of other entries.  :D
Therefore if the OP typed the name of the particular kukri along with the pic it should be very easy to find.;) :)

Edit:
There's a picture thread at the top of this forum's page with several pages in it. I have my settings set so that I get 40 posts on a page and it's showing 5 pages for me so if all 5 pages are full for me that's the possibility of 200 posts or pics. ;) :D

IE has the same "find" feature.

Well I'll be dayumed! :D Goes to show how little I know. :o
I quit using IE full time quite some time ago because of the security issues it has/had and never looked back because Firefox's features suit me much, much, better.

I do use Firefox. In fact when I want to use "find," I just start typing and it starts the finding for me! I'm just saying a search would still make it easier than browsing page after page after page and hitting ctrl+g each time. To some extent Google can be used to this end, but it'd be nice to be able to focus it on HI threads.

I've had my eye on a villager for a while now, and those butterflies looked awesome. I'm in restraint and stealth mode for the moment though due to concerns about funds.

face HD.
no black coated blades, no tanto's, no serrations, no skull crushers or grip tape handles!
these knives just aren't cool!

Yup. It's a 22" I love it.

Very handsome khukuri and an excellent photo; virtually professional quality.

That would be a good pic for use on the H.I. website, seeing how the Bonecutters seem to be a regularly offered item now.
