Surefire E2e HA Passaround

*Update*

Brian e-mailed me back today and said he mailed a MO. I should receive it sometime first of next week. I'll order as soon as all payments are received. Almost there!

Mike

Don't forget to give your preference for passaround order (sign up or geographical). If all aren't received by the start, we will go in order signed up.

Ok guys, I've received all payments, and will be ordering the flashlight from 1sks tomorrow morning. If they don't have it in stock, I'll order from another site. I should get the light before Friday. Everyone responded regarding the order to go in, and since the only people that gave a preference said geographical, that is the order this passaround will progress in. Just want to thank everyone for making this a reality. Here is the order the light will go in.
  1. Medic1210 (NC)
  2. TheBadGuy (VA)
  3. 3nails (KY)
  4. bmstrong (OH)
  5. Ryan0169 (MI)
  6. Metaxasm (CA)
  7. Velitrious (WA)
    [/list=1]

It was a toss up as to which state was geographically closer to MI-- CA, or WA. Shouldn't make that much of a difference. And besides, Velitrious was planning on being last anyway so he could make off with the goods and disappear;)

I'll let everyone know when I get the light. We'll each keep it for 7 days, and will ship it insured for $100 with delivery confirmation to the next person on the list.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Outstanding job getting this off the ground Medic1210. I think we should keep doing this passaround/raffle deal. The Sebenza got off the ground, Now I think we can choose any product we want!! :) I would suggest that everyone purchase there 2 batteries before you get the light, that way you can be rolling from the moment you get the light and we can stay on track with our 7 days per person. Since everyone has thrown there own money in the pot, let’s try to keep this one on track. If you are following any of the other passarounds on the forum, there are a few where people have disappeared or kept the knife for several weeks, and none of us want that to happen here, b/c each of us want this to make it to the raffle as smooth as possible so one of us can claim there prize. Thanks all. This is great and good luck to all in the final raffle.

Yea, if we can get people to chip in on a Sebenza, we can get anything!

OK FOLKS, Steyr Aug passaround. We need 10 people. Each person donates $300. We buy one Steyr Aug and start the passaround. Each person can keep it for one week or 3000 rounds, Which ever comes first. At the end of the passaround, we send it to the bad guy. Instead of UPS or USPS, we need members to meet eachother at state lines what do you think?? Do we have any intrests??:D

Each of us kicks in $9300 and we get a Hummer to pack the Steyr in. Each person keeps it for a month, drop it off at the state line with a full tank of gas and 3 full mags. No prollem here. Least 'til the wife finds out about it.

Medic, figger out if you want me to hold the light and ship it to the winner, or ship it back to you when my week's up. We should probably get the details of the drawing done sooner than later too, that way all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed.

Good call on suggesting that yer batteries be ready and waiting for the light. I got a couple sets ready to go now. I've got some good ideas for my evaluation too. This is gonna be cool, folks.

It can go either way I guess. As far as the drawing, the only way I see doing it in a completely fair and non-fixable way is to use the South Carolina Lottery. We will pick a date of a drawing to be held after the passaround is up, or maybe even for the week when you have it (Velitrious). We will be assigned a number from 1-7 in the order of the passaround. We will use the Pick-3 Lotto on a pre-determined date, which will have web access for the results. If the first number of the pick 3 is a 1-7, then that person will win the light. If the first number is an 8,9, or 0, then we will use the second number, and so on. If all three numbers don't match, then we will use the next drawing. Here is the website for the Pick-3 Lotto with results for today's drawing. If this was the drawing we used, then Metaxasm would have won, since 6 was the first number (Please note the edit at the bottom!). This is a method that is fair for everyone, and allows me to also participate without fear of fixing the results.

Mike

Edited to add: Those results are from December, 3, and were 6,6,2. I just realized that if that link is looked at after the next drawing is held then the results will be different, and you all won't know how I got Metaxasm as the hypothetical winner.

Way to go, Medic. Nice a way as any drawing can get I suppose.

I should have the SF by February.... right around my birthday. If that ain't just appropriate as hell, eh? ;) :D

Looks like I'll be close to shining in the New Year with it. Sounds like everything is going right on. I've got two sets of batteries waiting... Good shining to all and to all a good light!!!!:D

I ordered the flashlight today from 1sks. The lady said they were pretty backed up, so the light won't go out until tomorrow. That means I won't get it until Monday, instead of Friday. We're bracing for a pretty bad ice storm right now, so I would be surprised if UPS would have shipped on Friday anyway. We should be straight by Monday. Will keep you guys updated.

Mike

Edited to add: She also said the light comes with a set of batteries, so I will use those, and will ship a new set to TheBadGuy, so each person will get a light with a fresh set. Just be sure to buy a new set to ship along with the light to the next person on the list. Leave them in the package so there is no question as to them being new.

Thanks

For the benefit of everyone involved, Even though its easy to find out online, Will someone post what kind of batteries are needed??? Thanks

CR123 Lithiums - kinda expensive, but...

My worry would be that with 15 people, and figure 1 set of batteries each (1 hour) your getting near the lifespan of the bulb from what I understand!

For what it's worth, I have an E2 (not an E2E, which didn't exist when I bought mine) It's one of my 2 favorite flashlights - the other is the Arc AAA
