Surefire E2E

yes the E2o at 25 lumens is "less" bright than the E2e with the 60 lumens but I wouldnt aim them at my face and try to tell the difference. Its kinda like backing into a buzz saw and then trying to decide which tooth it was that got ya.You will have a lot of those blind spots in your vision for quite a while from either one

The Lumen ratings given by SureFire give you a very good idea of the beam size when you already have a SureFire model.

Therefore the brightness/whiteness and light distribution between the beam and the surround remain pretty constant but the more Lumens from the same diameter reflector mean a larger beam area (and to some extent greater brightness)

As to what my current EDC is, I wear 5.11's and can EDC a variety of cool flashlights...

Al ;)

The outdoorsman is 25L rather than 60L to provide for a longer continual run time. It is geared more for the Outdoorsman/Hunter who might need a longer run time for tracking game, finding camp, up-close work, etc.

I have an E2e-HA with a KL1 as an alternative and it's an AWESOME combination for whatever your needs are.

Cris

I carried a E2E for 18 months and was absolutly delighted by it. About 6 weeks ago I lost the damn thing and ordered a E2O as a replacement. The day before my new light arrived, I found my E2E. It had been lying in the gravel driveway of my shop, where it had been run over at least 3 times by God knows what and been rained on to the tune of 3 inches. When I picked it up, it lit like it just came out of the box. The only damage was a few small scratches and a tiny crack in the lens that did not degrade the beam at all. Personally,I like the E2O as it offers plenty of light for my use with a longer runtime, but you cant go wrong either way. I hold my Surefire lights in the same regard that I hold Yellow Labradors. Benelli shotguns, and Ruger sixguns, which damn well says something.

I picked up an E2e from TADgear with the bitey teef attachment :D a few weeks ago. I love it. It is my constant companion, especially on night walks.
In fact, I ought to get a neck sheath for it.
Very solid, easy to use, bright as all get-out, pretty compact, not as heavy as it looks, either. The clip is a jeans-eater though.

I had the same problem. I emailed SureFire, explained the situation, and they sent me a longer pocket clip free.
