Surefire Executive Elite 2? Do I need this?

If I am not mistaken you can order the longer clips like are used on the C2 and C3 directly from Surefire and replace your E2e clip. This are supposed to have a lot more flex and work better with a wider variety of clothing.
 
I have 2 photons II's. One white and one turquoise.

The white is best for general use / pure colour rendition.

The turquoise is the brightest photon.

IMHO you can't beat Photon II's for compactness and reliability. The III's have switch problems.

My shopping list currently included an E2e and Arc AAA though ;)
 
The PhotonII is fine unless you get it damp or wet. It then doesn't out and if you don't got a minidriver to hand, it'll drain the batteries.

The Photon3 has in my experience been very unreliable with the exception of my one working one (red) which is great.

The ArcAAA isn't as compact but it is tough, bright, stays bright for a long time and watertight.

Still, these are pathetic compared to a Luxeon like the ArcLS and KL1. 5W 123A flashlight are a whole different level.

That's why I EDC a SureFire E2e-HA and an ArcAAA as well as often having a SureFire E1e+KL1 on me too.

I just bought an E2-HA (not the E2e-HA) and it does indeed have the LOTC. I was very surprised.
I bought it only to host my KL1 and actually ordered a separate LOTC thinking it would be nice to have so now I've got a spare.
Oh well.
My E2-SG does NOT have the LOTC but I bought it months ago before there even WAS an E2e so I don't know if the LOTC is now standard on all of the E2s or only standard on the E2-HA.
Could it get more confusing?
 
The LockOut TailCap is standard on all new E Series flashlights.

If you don't have one for your E Series SureFire, these are the Z numbers you'll need to order the right one:

Z52 (HA)
Z53 (GM/SG)
Z54 (BK)

Can SureFires get any more confusing?

Ever tried to work out a Classic WeaponLight from scratch?
