They are normally price fixed.

I think ecks is right. Best bet for a deal is to buy one used off the forums. If you're buying new I think you might as wel buy from surefire.com

Edited to add: Just noticed that Planterz has a Surefire L2 up for $150 shipped. Saves you $25 plus whatever the shipping cost would be.

You may want to look into Candlepower Forums and OpticsHQ. They have a discount for CPF members on top of their already low prices. I ended up getting my G2 for $26 shipped.

sometimes ya can find deals on the more popular models (ie G2, Z2, E2D,) but usually ya gotta just be happy to find what ya want, some of them are hard to find period.

There are dealers at various gun shows about the country, who seem to have discounted prices. ;)

There is no need to pay retail for a surefire light. I've bought five or six brand new Surefire lights all on Ebay. I make sure to buy from reputable Ebay dealers who specialize in Surefire products or "tactical" items. Every one of my purchases has been at least 20% off retail and as much as 30% off retail. Granted you may have to wait a few days for an auction to end but the savings are worth it imho. From what I understand Surefire frowns upon its "authorized dealers" discounting their products.

newgraham has always had great prices on Surefires. Whether it was in stock or not is a different matter.
