The head of the L4 (the KL4) also fits on the E1/E1e.
In that configuration it's maybe 1/2" longer than the Arc-LSx yet still spanks it as far as light output.
Running on 3V instead of 6V will give you less light and less runtime than the full L4 but interestingly enough (and despite the lesser surface area) the heat output is less as well.
After 30 minutes of constant on it was still cooler than my Arc-LSH.
No sign of dimming either.
I've had my L4 for less than a week and it's already replaced my 6P as my EDC light. I'll still carry the 6P at night just in case I need something that is super bright (with the P61 bulb) and has "throw." So for those of you who are thinking about getting the L4 but still haven't, do it!
I was able to locate an E2c adapter. All I have to do is carry the head and lamp assembly of my G2Z and I can use it on my L4. I highly recommend the E2c adapter.
