Hello,

We are considering converting our surface grinder to a belt setup and was wondering if anyone knew where I could find some wheels that would fit this shaft?
Also, it looks like this is the same SG: http://edcaffreyms.jalbum.net/Surface Grinder Conversion/slides/Surfacegrinder wide view.html

Thanks,

I think your spindle is 3" TPF with 1" at the large end? If so that is a common standard spindle taper. Might it not be easier to use the hub and find a contact wheel with a 1 1/4" inside hole?

I'll check around. I think the wheel can only be about 1/2" thick for the hub to tighten Thanks for the reply.

You have the wheel custom made to fit the hub.
You don't have a hub on the machine at the moment.

Should be a 1-1/4' bore, you will specify your offset and web thickness so that the hub does tighten.
Set your offset to maximize your table usage.

Contact Rubber makes great wheels, have them serrate it for you.
