surface grinders

anyone ever grind a blade on a surface grinder?

I have not but it can be done including the tapered tang. I think this was discussed in this forum a while ago.

the tapered tang is easy part, presume you can only grind straight angle blade on a sine plate, if their is a curvature to the blade it wont work.

Sure it is possible but it is much quicker and easier to grind by hand.
