I have several knife blanks that i had cut out with waterjet, the metal is out of an old saw blade.Would i be ok to have them surfaceground, mainly just to clean them up,in doing that are my blanks going to try and bow very bad? Thanks,Keith

if they are ground on a surface grinder that uses coolant you shouldnt have any problems. if the grinder doesnt have coolant there is a chance the blade could warp if heavy cuts are taken. also flipping from side to side helps. when i surface grind a blank i flip mine quite often.

Really depends on how thin the part is, how sharp the wheel is dressed, and how deep of a cut is taken.
