So I had rough few days of swelling, throbbing, tightness, and yes it was my knee. I Turned the corner last night and am feeling more like myself. A little advice for any one that is going to do a knee replacement. Before one leaves for the hospital make sure that any movies they might want to watch are near at hand. I have two boys 7 and 9 and because they tend to be hard on disks I keep mine in the "man pit" down stairs nothing racy just good movies like the usual suspects, the magnificent seven, red dawn so on. I did not move these up stairs to where I am convalescing so I found my self home alone couch bound 16 hours into the 36 before any one comes home having this conversation with my self.
Ok self and yes i call my self self when i am talking to my self what do you call your self when talking to your self? Ok self so in a hour when this pain pill peaks you can go down the stairs 7 make a wide 180 degree turn across the landing down another 7 stairs then catch your breth. Then 5 steps to the door if you lean on your good leg and push up on your toes you will be able to reach the switch for the door then just lean on it and it should open (yes I have a secret door with a magnetic lock in my basement I was a stay at home dad what do you think I did all day cut coupons).
Ok self once your in, grab the movies you want and put them in the bag oh ya remember to bring a bag to put the movies in. Now this should take about an hour and your knee might get a little uncomfortable so just be cool hang out in the basement until it is time to take your next pill oh REMEMBER to take a pain pill in the bag. Then just lay on the floor for about another 2 hours until that pill peaks then do it all in reverse. you will be back up here with movies in 4 hours, easy no sweat. Now what did I need take oh look top shot is on that spike haired earring freak looks familiar could you imagine having work with him and that ego. why do I have this bag again? Oh look an hour until my next pill
