Survey for Chris Reeve Knives (CRK) - Have input in the next CRK knife!

Completed survey...

Suggested return of OPK line, Annual Sebenzas, larger Inkosi and keep production in the USA.

USA Absolutely. Would not think of buying a CRK that was not made in Idaho.

I am sure that us nuts on BF make up only a fraction of the CRK customer base. I really hope that this does not diminish our input or our voice. We have grown to love the brand for most likely very similar reasons. Some of those being:

Quality. Second to none. The quality and craftsmanship that is put into each and every knife is unparalleled. Because of this alone, it makes the CRK line of knives the best value for the money out there. Plain and simple.
Art. I've never been into paintings or antiques, but I do appreciate art. Some of the most spectacular pieces are posted right here in the CRK section of BladeForums. True works of art to be shared with everyone.
Pride. I am proud to own a CRK. Not just because it is one of the best tools I have ever owned, but also because I can feel how proud CRK is to have made such a fantastic product that can be passed from generation to generation.
Customer Service. Need I say more? If you have ever contacted CRK, used their service, or so much as read about it, you know exactly what I am talking about.
History Not just with the timeline that the knives tell, but CRK also tells the story of the American Dream. Mr. Chris Reeve started as a small time knife maker in South Africa. He took his vision and his values and had the success that people dream of.
Made in USA! More specifically Made In Idaho!! Can you imagine what it would do to the brand if they outsourced their production? It would change it completely. The CRK as we know it would exist only in history.

Fact is, CRK probably holds only a very small fraction of the knife market and does have an entire market available to them. They always have. Yet they have chosen to keep it close. CRK has never compromised their values. They've always stuck with what their name was built on and have always kept the customer first; and that starts with making the best knives out there, right here at home.

I know CRK has always changed offerings, inlays, knife styles, etc. I also know my fears at this point are unfounded; but with Chris' recent retirement, talk of some inlays being discontinued, surveys, and other rumors, I believe we all share a bit of nervousness about the direction of CRK. My plea to Anne would be to please never compromise what Chris Reeve Knives stands for. Continue the quality and the commitment that your name screams and you will have a whole bunch of life long supporters and customers right here.
