Strange ? maybe.... We all have our own reasons.... I sold my 25 bc I didn't like the way 'finger grooves' felt on my hand.

We'll get lots of different reasons, hopefully. What about You. I hope we get some odd/strange reasons.:D

Edit: I post some of my threads to shake things up, to add some variety. We get some of the same questions, sometimes.

Because I don't need 100 CRK's hanging around here. :o

To free up some $$$ to pay for others..... :o

I sold the Small Starbenza, big mistake, to help fund an Anschutz model 1712 Silhouette rifle.
I am fixing that mistake, I have a small Insingo on it's way.

I sold a Large Micarta 21 because it was too big for me to EDC. I picked up a Small Ironwood and a Small KACF to replace it.

Life is sweet! :)

Thanks for posting this subject.
Well, there is nothing "strange" about me.:D

Sold my Small Slab Side Standard Blade because I tend to cut myself with pointed blades.:o Insingo for me!

Never sold any. If I don't want to keep it for life, I don't buy it.

The only CRK I didn't like was the large insingo. I love the small insingo, but the big didn't do it for me.
I have regretted selling every other CRK and have bought the models again (except the Umnumzaan, and I am just waiting for a good one to come along when I have funds available- the two never seem to coincide).

But mostly, the CRKs that have come and gone were traded for different knives. The only knives I know I will buy again everytime I trade one out is CRK, so I am more willing to part with them individually.

I use one of my 25s, the others I have no plans to sell. If a reason arose, I would sell them, simple as that.

Sold 2 Large Sebenzas and 1 Umnum because they were too big for my EDC use.. Sold about 5 to 6 smalls because they were impulse purchases. :)

Still selling some off and currently rounding off my collection to just the ones I really like... :D

I sold my first large and small because I thought I didn't love them. Like, sure. But love? So I thinned down my whole collection at the time. In short order, I found myself missing them. So I bought another of each. Now, they are my go to knives. Sometimes pushed out by one of 3 shirogorovs for a day. But they really are the perfect knife for me and I find myself wishing I had it sometimes when I grab something else. So, even though I don't love them, per say, I guess I kind of do. In the way you prefer a particular ratchet, or screwdriver or pen, I am drawn to it because it does the things I need it to do so well.

Sold a small sabenza to fund my GB Shamwari. Thinking of heading back to CRK now that the Inkosi is out. I like smaller knives.

eala

on a different note. I'd love to try out a Shamwari. But was hoping he'd do a 3" blade on it...

I buy and sell somewhat regularly. I never make money on the transactions but I get to experience all different CRKs. And if I like it, great. If not, I'll sell or trade it to get something else.

The one in particular that I truly regret getting rid of was my Sm Carbon Fiber Inlay Insingo. That knife was gorgeous

I traded my WC Zaan for a Micarta 25 because I just couldn't get the 25 out of my head. I'm sure glad I did too. It helped me realize that I much prefer the feel of a 25. Now I'm in the market for a Zaan

I deliberately spent the money on CRK's in order to keep my God-knows-when-I-will-be-divorced-from-the-green-card-scamming-witch of a wife so she doesn't get the money that the civil court and the USCIS will give her. Some I will sell later (purchased as investments) and some I will never sell (my favorite users). Small personal belongings are a few of the things that she and a really screwed up immigration system can't touch and can't get their hands on. :) I'm going to be posting a few here soon for some decent prices because I would like to think that an American will have the opportunity to own a well made American product.

I sold most of mine to pay for other CRK. Though I did sell several years ago to buy several XM-18's. Great knives in their own right, but its CRK all the way for me. Pretty much exclusive CRK for me these days.

I used to sell in order to purchase new ones; to change up my collection. Sold some of my recent Mnandis since I didn't particularly care for the recent version.
