I had my almost 2 month checkup yesterday, and from my blood tests and CT scan everything looks clear! They found nothing at all, so they are moving me from a 6 week scanning cycle to a 4 month scanning cycle! This is great news in so many ways. I posted a while ago back here about what was going on, so I thought I would give another update. Everyones encouragement meant a lot!

I've got one month left on recovery, before I'm fully back up on my feet.

Excellent news! I'm very glad to hear this.

Here's hoping that the rest of your recovery is quick.

All the best,

- Mike

Good news is always good to hear! And it's encouraging for everyone else going through hard times, too.

That is great, great news! Hope the rest of the recovery goes smoothly, and it all becomes just a memory. My wife went through some cancer and made a full recovery.

that is great news indeed... cancer is horrible stuff.... i have lost quite a few loved ones from it...:(

Thats great to hear!!! It has been 9 1/2 years for me so far. I had the surgery in Oct 1999.

Congrats on the good news. My 2 and a half year old niece recently was diagnosed with leukemia. She's only a couple of months down a two-year treatment 'road', but so far she's responding really, really well to treatment. While she's only a toddler, even before she got sick with this she'd demonstrated she's a hell of a fighter.

And too--this is just an aside--her illness makes me glad Canada has a great medicare system. We may have relatively high taxes to compensate for it, but my brother in law never has to worry a second about what the treatment costs, paperwork, etc. The system isn't perfect, but not needing to directly pay for care is amazing at times like this (or like when my son was first born and needed some post-natal care). I can't imagine what it'd be like to have to worry about the money side of being sick, in addition to worrying just about being sick!

GREAT NEWS.

so far, this hasn't been a good year news/health-wise for those I know. I'm very happy for you and your family.
