Survival Course in MD/VA area?

Hello everyone. I'm interested in taking a course, or finding an area where one could partake in "rustic" or "primitive" camping/living somewhere in the Maryland/Virigina area. I have very little experience in this sort of thing, besides my Webelo level Cub Scouting. Any help at all would be appreciated. I'm trying to learn all the skills that have been lost. how to live well, without air conditioning and bologna. Thanks.

Thanks for the info....have you yourself been to this particular place? From the looks of the website, it seems a bit low-level. Not too intense...but I suppose thats good because it would be my first time. Any more ideas?
 
I know not every one hear likes him, but Tom Brown's school in New Jersey, not far from Maryland.
