What knives are offered by Dave Beck now? does anyone have any pics?, or information on ordering?

I have a 2005 brochure he mailed me showing 7 knives. One of the sweetest looking Nessmuk knives I've seen and 6 variations of a series he calls Woodsman. All are 1/8" thick O1.

Email me if you want his address...

As a follow-up of this thread...

For years I wanted to make my own knives - this was as good a time as any to try it. Here are some pictures of my first Pathfinder, WSK and Nessmuk.

I learned more than I could put into words. With only local hardware store tools - I am fired up with my results. No where near Beck and most of you guys, but they have surpased my testing expectations!!!

Take a look and tell me what you think - I think I found a new aspect of my knife hobby!!! :D

Thanks!

Yeah, I would like to make some to sell, although I am not very fast - maybe better equipment would help that... some day.

They are all O-1. The Pathfinder & WSK are 1/4" thick. The Nessmuk version is 1/8" thick.

The divit on the Pathfinder and WSK are bow drill sockets... dangerous and not for everyone, but works great for me - one less piece I need to construct.

One thing that kept me from attempting it (for years) was my lack of proper tools - don't let that stop you. I surprised myself with the results. :)

I cut them out with a hacksaw. Ground them on a table top belt sander (ocassionally used files - cetainly on the crosscut teeth). Sent them out for heat treating (highly reputable heat treater in the area). Sand blasted the Pathfinder & WSK. Applied Gun_Kote to the Pathfinder and WSK. Screwed black linen micarta handles to the Pathfinder & WSK. Brass pinned & epoxied cocobolo handles to the Nessmuk.
