I just finished them this week and was able to take the into the bush yesterday. As much as I love kydex I always long for the look and feel of a good leather sheath. I tried to combine the classic and modern sheath making techniques into these. I didn't do any sewing. They were all made with rivets (I just like how rivets look). The additional strap makes it easy to attach and detach any gear, small survival kit, multitool, whatever. I enjoyed making them and wanted to share the ideas with everyone here. Thanks for looking.

I like them looks good and most importantly you have the "home-made" sence or pride.
Q: Is the retaing strap the only retainment device? or are the sheaths s tight fit and hold the knife well as a pouch type like the one for the Recon Tanto you have the rentention strap remoavable

The Gerber Gator is a good tight fit and the Tanto fits good without the retaining strap. I couldn't get the Steadfast sheath tight enough, but with the strap it won't come out.
