Survival Knife

A survival knife needs to be on you at all times to have a chance of helping you out in a "situation."

Get something you can carry Daily, and get familiar with it.

Should be able to do this for <100 imo.

I agree. One should carry it either in EDC bag (optimally in person, but not always possible) or atleast in car. Most propable survival knife is the one that is at hand when the situation strikes.

A leather sheath and a little short on the blade (5 inches) , but I understand the saw works great. Roughly $80.00.

I'd suggest forgetting the sawback (for reasons posting above) and getting a quality pocket chain saw. Or perhaps a folding gardening saw.

I also gonna say KA-BAR/BECKER BK7 or BK9 & a Vict. Swiss Army Knife Farmer or Hiker  The Becker is gonna be hard to beat for the money spent & the Customer service is Top Notch ;)

Ontario/Ranger RD6 or RD7
Ontario RAT 7
Becker BK2 or BK 7
ESEE 6
Cold Steel SRK
Buck 119

and a Victorinox Huntsman paired with a gerber/fiskars sliding saw.

I have a 9" survival knife that has a saw on the back I have personally sharpened the saw the sheath is leather with a pouch for a fire starter
