I got my boot fitted yesterday at the hospital, to look after my severed Achilles tendon. The surgeon said that I can try walking on it in about two weeks time. So I'm getting ready...

That's a kickass setup you've got there. Don't forget your rain gear though. :D

I'm sure you'll be up on your feet in no time. Leg injuries really do suck.

Nice! I don't know, but the extra weight might be good therapy for your leg. Plus, your doctor will flip when he sees the boot covered in dried mud and wood chips!

I'm fairly certain that's not what the doctor had in mind:D. Awesome set-up. Hope you heal up soon. What's big fixed blade?

Unfortunately I must have put 12 pounds (at least!) of extra weight on since it happened, even with cutting back on food. Sitting around never did agree with my waistline! :o

Meanwhile, my calf, which was seriously muscled, has atrophied away to a chicken leg :grumpy:

Yeah, wait 'till I turn up at my next hospital appointment like this! Not sure security will let me through...

He might actually be impressed - while chatting I found out that he's a long-distance hiker himself...

Knife is a Busse Hell Razor with black and tan (off-white really) G10 slabs. I thought it went with the rig :D

I thought it looked Busse-ish, but wasn't sure. I suppose I need to get me some INFI some day to see what the big deal's about. You should find a way to strap a Battle Mistress to the boot.

Working on it... ;)

And they are worth the money imo. Like many, I was very skeptical until I tried one myself. Anyway, I don't want to start Busse evangelizing (too much ;) )

That said, I still like my Fallknivens as well... got a TK2 on the way as of this afternoon :D

Maybe there will be some healing powers to infi. Like a supeb up version of the copper bands people wear.

Once you're done with the leg strap put the words 'Tactical, Special Forces and Molle' in front of it you'll be able to sell it easy on the Bay.

As for the fatness, what about getting a decent sized bit of bungee cable and using that? Easier to stow away, cheaper and more uses for than weights. Just sit curling and doing other upper body stuff, can always work the 'guns' mate.

When you click heels, does a dagger blade shoot out of the front?

Also, what's the tent stake for?

If you need to shave that leg hair, an opinel #6 will take care of it for you nicely.

I had to wear one of those robo-boots when I broke my foot in tenth grade. Sooo much better than a hard cast for sure. When you get to walking better, you can loosen the joint so that it bends a little too. You'll be amazed at what a weakling your leg has become after a while too. I always wondered why they say "learning how to walk again". How do you forget how to walk? Well, its not the brain, its the legs that forget. I almost pissed myself when I saw that picture. Brings back memories for sure. Heal fast brother.

There's a bottle of something in the first pic. I wonder if that had anything to do with genesis of the tactical boot?:D

That is awesome, bro! Looks like you are set up for just about anything
