So... All the books I told you about sucked so bad you want to read some crap about a comet hitting L.A.?

Go get “Jack London’s Tales of Adventure.” They are short stories like “To Build a Fire” in fact I’ll email that to you and then you’ll be hooked.

Sounds like Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.

Definitely a good read.

there is also Moonfall or something like that.... another good comic book :p

"Footfall", great book about an alien invasion of earth. Not so much of the survivalist aspect to it.

"Lucifer's Hammer" is definitely a good read. But then, so is everything by Pournelle and Niven.

I recently read "The Last Centurion" by John Ringo, and it was great. Global cooling + flu pandemic, so I guess it a survival story. The central character/narrator is an Army captain, and it really takes political correctness and radical leftists to task.

Jack London is always good.

If you don't mind fantasy, boxing, westerns, adventure, etc. you could also try Bob Howard (Robert E. Howard).

Resinguy,
I was going to mention "Footfall" a few minutes ago but figured it wasn't survival related, then again it's about survival of the human race so it could count ;)
Been about 10 or so years since I read it but it was really good. The "aliens" are of an "Elephant" type and put their foot on the enemy once they are defeated, hence the name "Footfall". The humans make a craft powered by atomic/nuclear bombs to propel them into space to attack the mother craft (if I remember right).

Liked London's books also

Well if you want to go off topic of survival:

Amber Does Overtime

A Lick and a Promise: Spank! Series 2

You've Got Tail: Penthouse

100 Strokes of the Brush Before Bed

She Did a Bad, Bad Thing

If This Bed Could Talk

Nice idea there Skunk. I bet my Arsenal would look da#* good with a CG BOSS HG55 mounted to her.
Just in case the two 30 rnd. clips run dry and the zombies are still coming at me I'd like to have something more than the barrel with which to poke them. :D

A huge +1 on John Ring's "The Last Centurion." Like most of his stuff, a good solid read!

Have you read "Honor of the Clan" yet? Has some surprises. I think he can keep this Aldenata series going for a while.

Skunk,

You'll like this book.

So far, after 1/4 of the book, it is pretty much like someone decided to publish posts from Blade Forum's Political Forum.
