This book was issued to the rhodesian light infantry in the 1960s - its all about african bush survival:

Don't Die in the Bundu by DH Grainger

Picked up a first edition while at an old bookstore in south africa over the summer - very cool read!

Personally I really like Tom Brown's Field Guide to Wilderness Survival, I have many others but this is my favorite.
